Ash-Shaykh Zāyid, or Sheikh Zayed City, is a planned city located in the Giza Governorate of Egypt. Established in 1995, it is part of the Greater Cairo urban area and is situated approximately 20 km from the Mohandiseen district and 28 km from Tahrir Square in Downtown Cairo. The city is bordered by the Cairo–Alexandria desert road and the 26th of July Corridor, providing easy access to key areas. With a current population of around 150,000, it is designed to accommodate up to 500,000 residents upon full development.
