Monsoon Magic
Visit between July and September to see the landscape transform into a lush, misty paradise.

Māndu, also known as Mandav, is a testament to the architectural brilliance of the Malwa Sultanate. Perched on a 600-meter high plateau in the Vindhya Range, this ruined city is enclosed by 45 kilometers of stone walls. The architecture is a unique blend of Persian and Afghan styles, seen in the iconic Jahaz Mahal, which appears to float between two lakes, and the Hindola Mahal with its sloping walls. The city is also the setting for the legendary love story of Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati, whose pavilion remains a highlight for visitors. During the monsoon, the entire plateau is covered in lush greenery and mist, making it one of the most romantic historical sites in India.
