Established in 1974, Cassamata Hill National Park preserves 57 hectares of natural landscape in the heart of Bangued, Abra. The park is designed for accessibility, allowing visitors to reach the summit either by a winding road or a series of concrete stairways. Once at the peak, guests are rewarded with expansive, panoramic views of the town and the Abra River valley, all framed by the dramatic Cordillera Central and Ilocos mountain ranges. A notable landmark visible from the park is the 990-meter Mount Banti Goolong, often referred to as the 'Sleeping Beauty' mountain. Beyond its natural allure, the park features practical amenities including a swimming pool, an amphitheater, and a hotel, making it an ideal spot for everything from quiet reflection at the local shrine to active outdoor recreation.
