Setauket-East Setauket

Setauket-East Setauket is a quaint and historic hamlet located on Long Island's North Shore in New York. Founded in 1655, it was the first settlement in what would become Brookhaven and played a significant role during the American Revolutionary War. The area is home to the Old Setauket Historic District, where many early structures remain intact. Today, Setauket-East Setauket is a primarily residential area, offering a peaceful atmosphere while being conveniently close to the commercial hubs of Port Jefferson and Stony Brook. It also serves the large student population of the nearby Stony Brook University.
